Second Thunder Seeking the Black Ishayas BY MSI is a visionary work. Visionary works are expressions of where we have come from and where we are going; they are a report on the human condition; they are statements of Universal Consciousness. As such their usefulness lies in example… Pictures also help by example…
“Maitreya sheathed Nuriel and stood grinning widely at him.”
Well, this is what happens to the main character Mars in chapters 5-11 of Second Thunder. Born a prince, in a palace of grandeur, Mars as a young adult had begun to lead an extremely dissolute life. So Self-destructive that he creates an extreme resolution, involving his death of the old life, the loss of his throne, and a lonely journey into the desolate places of his world. Yet as he moves forward on this journey, thinking he has lost everything, he moves from a decision he has made to trust. Trust in his own inner knowing of what he must do. Perhaps you too are at a point of such a deep decision.
“There shall be no proof. You alone must decide. As must every human. All truth comes from within, from the heart.” ( P 83 The Lions Wounds)
So trusting his heart, he takes a vow to recover his meaning. Trusting the inner and outer guidance he received. Trusting these words he had read and knew to be true. “Be receptive to the good flowing to you always; never in pride rely solely on your own strength. If you but allow it, help will come when you need it, even when least deserved.” ( P 85 The Lions Wounds. )
He travels for days alone until he begins to fear for his own sanity. After days of feeling watched--assuring himself he is going crazy, he turns back. Then suddenly out of nowhere Maitreya, an Oathmaster of great power, leaps out to confront him. Astonished, Mars challenges Maitreya , who admits he has indeed been watching him. Mars tries to defeat Maitreya, but Mars is easily bested.
Then Maitreya with his sword Nuriel gleaming with light, grins and thus begins the real education of Mars---education that will change his concepts of his life, of life on his planet, and replace his false beliefs with Truth.
Maitreya represents the inner Truth about humanity. “Since the dawn of creation, there have been individuals throughout the Universe who have been capable of Self-knowledge. This is the only definition of humanity that is consistent or meaningful. The essential underlying truth---that every human contains within his/her heart a spark of the Divine Fire---is the only important fact.” (foreword)
Maitreya also represents the outer truth that help comes to us at all times if we are open to it. He appears as he is-strong, ever-ready, Present Consciousness in human form, full of humor at the false beliefs we cling to.
We are all on a journey. Each step of the way help is available to evolve beyond our limits into freedom. Those who know Truth aid those who are still caught in illusion. Always there, ever present, the Eternal Peace and Truth of the One integrated and lived completes human purpose and leads each of us into Life.
