When I first read First Thunder by MSI in 1997, the book didn’t promise anything whatsoever. It simply showed me a new possibility. That surpassed all my understanding. Thus, my personal journey to Self-discovery began. MSI, through the pages of First Thunder, opened my vision to a broader possibility. Identification with all my past experiences impaired my vision. Through First Thunder, I found there was a lot more to life than what eyes, ears and feelings bring about.
Once I completed First Thunder, I just had to read Second Thunder. It is an incredible journey, an epic sort of story that up to today, keeps me on the edge of my chair. It has many levels of comprehension: every name, every circumstance, every situation, relates to the All of it. The plot culminates into the thread that never perishes of the seven wheels of human experience.
Second Thunder, Seeking the Black Ishayas, is a book that shakes anyone in its first few pages. One must abandon something to continue. Reading this infinitely dimensional book, you begin to see life differently. While the plot twists and turns, the heart becomes addicted to its content.
Orah, The Deathless Dancer, Third Thunder Part I, is a story that occurred before Second Thunder. Orah, an immortal traverses seven rivers to save his sister from evil and discovers it is the choice of focus that makes all the difference. Rather than focusing on the ego, changing his awareness creates an entirely new universe. It is actually new all the time, but due to conditioning, we recreate a similar one over and over. Awakening to such awareness is a story that may bring up sadness and joy; it culminates in the story of Shamara.
Shamara, the Oblation Bearer, Third Thunder Part II. The final book in the series illustrates sacrifice that serves to unite with the One. Involving allegories of the flames of purity, the nectar of immortality, and service similar to the bodhisattva, we read to find out if Shamara will complete the greatest gift of surrender allowing her to live in full conscious awareness. Technology plays a part in the plot that makes it even more interesting.
The Four Books of the Thunder Series by MSI are indeed an incredible journey of many lives that take place in the space between two heart beats. Time is a man made concept, what is time to eternity?
I highly recommend Second Thunder as my favorite of the four. Still today, 12 years later, I appreciate it. Every time I read it, I get levels upon levels of new perceptions. MSI is indeed a generous genius to have provided humanity with such a gift to re-awaken to the light of all human kind and blossom for all of us, when we read his work.
